The project is a 150-square meter vacation house located at Tagaytay City. The design intended to take advantage of the view of Taal Volcano and Lake.
The house is on a plateau-like site accessed by a stone walkway and stairs. A double height space welcomes its user and a sculptural stairs highlights the interior, and connects the living room to the family area. Both rooms have a view of the volcano and lake at the rear. A guest bedroom is annexed from the structure, with a corner view of the front garden. The public spaces are surrounded by a wood decking and gardens. The family area has operable windows, and when fully opened, converts the space into a veranda overlooking the view. The bedroom’s glass partition can be opened and connect the space to the family area.
The tropical design with minimalist aesthetic creates a subtle architecture that focuses on the impact of surroundings to the house.
