House 20-12
Completed
The project is a 2-storey vacation house located in Tagaytay City. The design is intended to take advantage of the view of Taal Volcano and Lake.
The house is situated on a plateau-like site accessed by a walkway and stairs. An open space welcomes its users, while sculptural stairs highlight the interior and connect the living room to the family area. Both rooms offer a view of the volcano and lake at the rear. A guest bedroom is annexed from the structure, offering a corner view of the front garden. The family area features operable windows that, when fully opened, convert the space into a veranda overlooking the view. Additionally, the bedroom’s glass partition can be opened to connect the space to the family area.
The tropical design with a minimalist aesthetic creates subtle architecture that focuses on the impact of the surroundings on the house.
